Also, while it is not directly related, it is interesting to think about some of the protests that have been going on around the country. In the play, we see that many characters who realize that the witch trials are unjust are afraid to speak out. Continue to consider, as we have been, exactly what it costs an individual to stand up for what he/she believes to be right, when it means going against the majority and/or those in power.
In recent news, students have protested at the University of California Davis campus, over a 32 percent tuition increase.
So let me spell that out for you: This means that if you were an undergraduate student at the school this year, your tuition next year will go up about $5,000 (for state residents) or almost $13,000 (out-of state).
